Breaking News: Many Changes to Empire Avenue Site
Empire Avenue has just made started ranking the top users on Twitter — that’s all users on Twitter, not just Empire Avenue members. So, that adds everybody from @justinbieber to @mashable. Empire Avenue just became a major Twitter ranking site. More significantly for traders, you can now buy shares in these folks. However, this is just one of several changes.

Empire Avenue: Jack of All Trades, Master of None?
As always, we have to remember that it is early days for Empire Avenue, the development team is literally working night and day to add new functionality and design elements. That said, we can look at where Empire Avenue is today and evaluate it’s current value.
If you look at the login page, you will see three text boxes that say, “Connect with new and old friends”; “Measure your influence”; and “Become a MILLIONAIRE!” These speak to the networking, influence score and gaming aspects of the site. In addition, the site offers partner rewards and eventually financial rewards.

Of course, I am being dramatic. Calling Empire Avenue a force for good or a force for evil would be pretending it had more power than it does. Each of us have a responsibility to take control of our own lives. However, Empire Avenue can clearly make positive and negative contribution playing to our best and worst instincts; it has to mine.

The EBN Influence Dare Challenge
Announcing the EBN Influence Dares challenge. This challenge is a bit like Truth or Dare without the Truth part. You can be a Challengee or a Challenger. There are two types of Dares. First, an influencer can put forward a dare they will complete if a group provides a set amount of reward. The second type of dare is a group can put forward an open dare or challenge someone specifically to complete a dare in return for a reward.

Quit or Coast on Empire Avenue?
Many people have used the word ‘addictive’ when referring to Empire Avenue. There have been references to ‘lost sleep’, ‘time suck’, ‘angry spouses’ and more. Meanwhile, others have said, that you just ‘hook up’ Empire Avenue and do your thing in your regular social media with no big time commitment required. It’s this range of opinion that leads some people to quit and others to scratch their heads over those departures.

Don’t Like Empire Avenue Networking? You’re to Blame.
I have been the first to complain about Empire Avenue communities. Others have indicated they deleted their accounts because of the limited networking opportunities presented by the site. Check out Empire Avenue conversations on Twitter and the first tweet you are likely to see is from @eavfan. However, if you are not building Empire Avenue relationships the way you would like, you are to blame (and so am I).
